Loch of Skene is a man-made loch on the outskirts of Aberdeen. The loch is popular with water sports enthusiasts; sailing and paddle boarding being the main attraction.
The area around the loch has numerous walking trails and there are some wonderful wildlife to be seen on the banks of the loch.
The temples are located at the south end of the loch. Originally, these structures formed the main entrance to the estate house at Dunecht, but they were moved in the early 1900s to the loch side.
